Vetafarm B-Calm Parrot Pellets 2kg is a balanced, veterinary nutritional formula specifically designed for anxiety-prone birds. The pellets may assist in the management of stress and anxiety in companion parrots. The formula is non-drowsy and non-sedative, making it great for long term and everyday use.

B-Calm contains L-tryptophan, thiamine and turmeric which are all natural ingredients which help to manage anxiety. L-tryptophan is a natural precursor for the synthesis of serotonin in the brain, which helps to stabilise feelings of happiness and wellbeing. Thiamine is an essential vitamin not made in the body so it must be absorbed from food. It helps the metabolism of energy and the overall functioning of the nervous system. Turmeric contains curcumin which is anti-inflammatory and is a stimulator for the release of serotonin and dopamine which help to stabilise mood.

B-Calm pellets should be fed as 80% of a parrot’s diet, with the rest being fruit and vegetables. Parrots require a minimum of 10% of their total bodyweight in pellets per day.
