Country Heritage Organic Chick Start Grower Crumble 20kg is a certified organic feed for chickens at all stages of growth. Country Heritage Organic Chick Start Grower Crumble is manufactured to the same specifications as the Country Heritage Organic Chick Starter Grower Mash, except that the feed is presented as a crumble. It offers the same broad spectrum ration suitable for all forms of poultry through all growing stages. The crumble is made by finely milling the ration, conditioning it with steam and then pressing it into a pellet. The pellet is then put through a crumbler, which breaks the pellets into a more manageable size for the young birds to consume.

Application

Pullets: Unlike other starter feeds, the uniquely diverse nature of this ration negates the need to change diets from a starter to a grower (pullet grower) part way through the growing cycle. This therefore avoids waste and the expense of a separate feed, as it can be fed to day old chicks through to point of lay hens (Approx. 18-20 weeks).
It is important to ensure your chicks have free access to feed and water and are protected from any harsh environmental onditions. For very young birds it is necsesary to keep them warm with a specialised heater lamp (or light), especially during the colder months.
For laying pullets it is also advisable to begin blending the Country Heritage Chicken Starter Grower with your preferred Country Heritage Layer ration at 16 weeks of age. This will provide the extra calcium and nutrients to assist with egg production.

Meat Birds: The Country Heritage Organic Chicken Starter Grower is equally adaptable when feeding meat birds, once again avoiding the need to swap to a grower ration during the growth cycle; allowing the same feed to be fed until slaughter. (Approx. 12 weeks).
