Aqua One Chemizee Zeolite 500g is made form a natural mineral, helping to remove harmful ammonia in your aquarium water. It is suitable for all types of filtration, in saltwater and freshwater aquariums and includes a handy netting bag.

Zeolite is a natural mineral formed when volcanic ash settles on water beds such as oceans and lakes. This causes a chemical raction with saltwater, where the volcanic ash is turned into a glass like substance. It is a highly porous material which allows water to pass through where highly charged ions from zeolite exchange with ammonia, resulting in the removal of excess ammonia.

It is important to remove excess ammonia from aquarium water as in high concentrations it is lethal to fish. Ammonia is created by excess food, faecal matter and urea in the biological cycle of the aquarium. Aqua One Chemizee Zeolite in the filtration system greatly reduced ammonia toxicity.
