RAW For Birds Sprouting Blend
RAW For Birds Sprouting Blend is a hand blended mix of seven organic beans, legumes and grains to create a super boosted raw food for your birds. Sprouted seeds release digestive enzymes which allows for the bird to breakdown the seed and absorb more protein, vitamins and minerals. The Raw For Birds Sprouting Blend is suitable for all birds and is an easy way to get started with sprouting.
To start sprouting, simply rinse the seeds then place in a container with a lid with an inch of water above the seed. Allow to soak for 24 hours then rinse until water runs clear. Place in sprouter and rinse at least 4 times per day or until 'tails' have started to emerge. They should take around 2 days to sprout and be ready for feeding. The seeds are the most nutritious when the 'tails' have just started to emerge.
Ensure the seeds are mould free before feeding. If you have any issues with mould, you can add a few drops of Vetafarm Aviclens or apple cider vinegar to the water.
2-3 tablespoons is enough for 2 small birds.
Use the RAW for birds Sprouting Jar with mesh lid, as an easy way to rinse the seeds.
