Wahl's Ultimate Competition Series blade sets provide 2.5 times faster show quality cutting than the original Wahl Competition Series blade sets. Designed to cut faster, smoother, and last longer, these heavy duty blades are made with hardened steel that won't snag or leave clipper tracks. Always ensure your blades are well oiled.
Wahl Competition Clipper Blade Sets come in finishing cut (F) and skip tooth (ST).
- Skip Tooth: The teeth are coarse and uneven which allows the coat to feed into the cutting blade more effectively. This is ideal for pets with rougher, thicker coats and matts in the coat. Often used before a bath to remove the bulk of the coat.
- Finishing Cut: The teeth are all the same length which results in a smoother finish and is ideal for use after the skip tooth blade, after a bath to finish the cut.
Available in different sizes for different coat lengths - refer to size guide below and select the blade according to the length you want to leave the coat. The length will depend on wether you choose to go with or against the grain, as going against the grain will leave the coat one blade size longer.
Andis and Wahl universal attachment combs will fit size 10, 30 and 40.

Sizing Guide
Sizes:
- 4 = 8mm (Skip Tooth) - For winter trims on all breeds
- 4F = 8mm (Finish Cut) - Finer Finishing blade
- 5 = 6mm (Skip Tooth) - Coarse, Used for breeds that need more coat left on
- 5F = 6mm (Finish Cut) - a finer finishing blade
- 7 = 4mm (Skip Tooth) - For summer trims or short body cuts
- 7F = 4mm (Finish Cut) - a finer finishing blade
- 8.5 = 2.8mm - ideal for longer coated breeds that don't need a lot of fur length trimmed.
- 10 = 1.8mm - medium/ fine length, used mostly for heads, ears, pads, belly and difficult to reach areas.
- 10W = 1.8mm - Twice as fast clipping for a smooth cut and show quality finish.
- 30 = 0.8mm - Ideal for fine and soft coats (fluffy breeds) for an even, smooth cut. Also for fine clipping of the face, feet and tail, sculpting and precise details (use with attachment comb for longer cuts).
- 40 = 0.6mm - Very fine, Used for surgical work.
